Seasonal Survey/Construction Staking Laborer

Non-union position, Temporary (up to 67 days)

$14.68 hourly

Aitkin County is accepting applications for a Seasonal/Construction Staking Laborer position in the Highway Department. Duties will include assisting the survey crew perform preliminary and construction surveys, setting construction stakes, assisting the inspection crew with contractor monitoring, measuring and calculating construction quantities, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid MN driver’s license.

Must be willing to work 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and overtime as necessary to complete the assigned tasks. Overtime may require the employee to start early or stay late and may include Saturday work.

Valid Minnesota driver’s license required. Employment reference checks and a criminal background check will be performed as part of the pre-employment process.
